Our laboratory has developed expertise in examining and reporting on signatures signed in foreign languages, particularly signatures signed in Chinese and Korean. In many of these type of examinations we need the assistance of native interpretors/translators to ensure like is being compared with like and we have good assess to such assistance. The illustration depicts signatures supposedly of the same person but the questioned signature is formed using different sequence of strokes compared to the specimen signature. The different colours show where the pen has been lifted from one stroke to the next. The questioned signature has been written using five separate strokes compared to the specimen where only four separate strokes have been used.
