Forensic Document Examiners Discussion List (Docexam_L)


The Docexam_L list is a forum for discussions and exchange of information related to forensic document examination.

Join the growing list of forensic document examiners who utilise this e-mail list as an easy way to:

It is un-moderated forum where any topic related to forensic document examination can be raised. The Docexam_L list is maintained by Chris Anderson (forensic at docexam.com.au).

Membership is only open to members of the American Society of Questioned Document Examiners (ASQDE), the Australasian Society of Forensic Document Examiners Inc (ASFDE Inc), diplomates of the American Board of Forensic Document Examiners (ABFDE) and invited guests.

To join go to http://docexam.com.au/mailman/listinfo/docexam_l and follow the instructions for subscribing to the list. If you have any difficulties please email Chris Anderson at forensic at docexam.com.au. Note, you maybe required to provide evidence of your membership of any of the above organisations or be recommended by an existing member. Invited guests cannot recommend a person to the list.

Using Docexam_L


While the list is un-moderated, please make sure that the post is relevant to our profession.

Attachments to posts can be up to 10MB in size. If you have an attachment larger than this size, email Chris Anderson at forensic at docexam.com.au who will provide a link to the attachment so it can be downloaded.

Sending Mail to List Members


To send a message to all docexam_l list members, use a message with the following suggested format (the email address is case sensitive):

From: (you)
To: docexam_L@docexam.com.au
Subject: (Request for assistance, Daubert info, News flash, etc...)
Your message: ......................................
Remember, when you 'reply' to a message sent to you from the list, you'll be sending your reply to the entire list!

Requesting Digests & Accessing Your Account


Instead of getting each message from the list separately, you can ask for a digest, which will provide you with a compilation of all messages sent that day. You can set Digests up through your account on the list home page. Go to http://docexam.com.au/mailman/listinfo/docexam_l and scroll down to Docexam_L Subscribers. In the field Edit Options enter your email address and press the Edit Options button. If you haven't set your account up, you will need to request your password by pressing the Email My Password To Me button. Once you have your password you can access your account and edit it to suit your preferences.
